Stephen qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and worked in a Weymouth firm of solicitors for 28 years before joining Kitson & Trotman.
Stephen specialises in property work including conveyancing, landlord and tenant and business sales and purchases. He also undertakes wills, probate and tax planning work and elderly/incapacity work, including powers of attorney and helping clients that have lost mental capacity to manage their affairs.
Stephen is a member of the Law Society’s Property and Private Client Sections.
In 2009, Stephen was appointed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to be an external examiner for the University of Law and for a London University on the Legal Practice Course, having previously been an external examiner for five years with a University in the Midlands.
Stephen acts as a trustee on many private and charitable trusts.
In his free time, Stephen enjoys the outdoors including walking with his dog, swimming and camping and has completed several long distance footpaths.
Stephen is married to Ann, and they have three grown up children, one of whom is following him in a career in the law.
